Description
Though there are heriloom varieties of tomatoes that are green when ripe, the term “green tomato” typically refers to an unripe tomato. Green tomatoes tend to be firm, pale green, and have more of a tart, astringent flavor than their ripe counterparts.
Storage tips
Unlike ripe tomatoes, green tomatoes store best in the crisper drawer of your fridge. They will keep up to two weeks.
