We figured it was about time we treated you to a purely visual update so you can get an idea of what’s growing and happening on the farm at the moment! Consider this a preview of what you’ll be able to pick up from the farm stand tomorrow (Saturday) from 10am-1pm. We hope to see you there!

We are excited to share that our field and tunnel We are excited to share that our field and tunnel tomatoes are setting blooms and fruit! 🍅✨
Now that we’re starting to see the first fruits on our plants, we’ll be eagerly watching their progress as they swell and eventually mature. We expect to begin harvesting the first cherry tomatoes within the next 3-4 weeks.

We have three beds planted with tomatoes in addition to two beds each of peppers and cucumbers. Since the high tunnel gives us a little more control over temperature while offering protection from the elements, we were able to plant successions of these crops a little earlier than in the field. This means you’ll see these veggies make their way to your plate a little sooner! 😄

We planted several different varieties of peppers We planted several different varieties of peppers in the field and high tunnel at the end of last week 🫑🌶️
Here are the varieties we planted: King Arthur (bell pepper), Lunchbox (snacking pepper), Cornito (sweet roasting or frying pepper), Baron (poblano), Shishito, and Jalafuego (jalapeno)

Spring is the perfect time to start a home garden! Spring is the perfect time to start a home garden! If you’ve been itching to get one planted, we invite you to join Farmer Matt for our Seasonal Gardening Series on Saturday, March 22nd, from 10:30-11:30am. 
This introductory gardening class will cover our tried and true spring season crops along with timelines for planting. We’ll also discuss direct seeding versus transplanting in addition to caring for your plants from seed through harvest. The cost of the class includes a plant that each participant can take home to plant in their garden. 
This class is open to the public but there is a special discount for Jordan Ranch residents (send us a DM for it!). Sign up via the link in the “class” highlight in our profile.

We planted a mix of old favorites and new varieties. Farmer Anne is most looking forward to growing sweet peas and agrostemma. The sweet pea mix we planted is full of vibrant colors like salmon, burgundy, lavender, and blue while the agrostemma varieties will range from pale pink to purple.
