Description
Rosemary is a member of the mint family with green, needle-shaped leaves. The scent and taste of the leaves is woody and camphorous with hints of mint.
Storage tips
Wrap sprigs of rosemary in a paper towel then place it in a plastic bag in your crisper drawer where it will last up to 2 weeks.
Culinary tips
- When adding fresh rosemary to dishes, it is best to chop it finely as the leaves can be tough.
- Rosemary stands up well to heat: it is best when added to recipes during the cooking process rather than as a garnish at the end.
- Rosemary pairs well with most fall/winter vegetables and fruits.
