Description

Red Kuri is a red-orange skinned winter squash with the appearance of a small pumpkin minus the ridges. The flesh is sweet, remniscent in flavor to chestnuts and sweet potatoes.

Store in a cool, dry place for up to 3-4 months.


Culinary tips
  • Red Kuri can be roasted, baked, or steamed.
  • Cooked and pureed red kuri squash can be subbed into any recipes calling for pumpkin or sweet potato puree. Try it in your next batch of pumpkin bread or pie.
  • Add roasted slices to the top of a salad or fill roasted wedges with your favorite grain, veggie, or meat-based stuffing.
